This unique online training will help you learn more about trees, about people, and about serving in a citizen advisory role in your city, town, or village.

There are eight courses you can take at your own pace—we expect you’ll spend between 2 and 5 hours on each one. After you complete one course, you will have access to the next one, but you can return to the previous completed ones if you would like to review anything. Each course includes videos, multi-media presentations, reference documents, and online links to additional information. Upon completion of the eight courses, you will be able to join an online social networking community, where you can post questions and interact with other like-minded Tree Boards.

Learn about new technology, arborists in the news, and the latest research findings with your choice of print subscriptions to either Arborist News magazine or Arboriculture & Urban Forestry.

The International Society of Arboriculture is a worldwide network of tree care professionals actively engaged in their own personal and professional development, that of their companies and employees, and the entire arboriculture industry. Membership in ISA provides you with opportunities for personal and professional growth and connects you to other professionals with similar needs, career goals, and interest in advancing the arboricultural profession.

Join our partnership program to collaborate on initiatives that benefit cities and towns across Montana. Together, we can achieve more and create stronger communities.

The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation's mission is to help ensure that Montana's land and water resources provide benefits for present and future generations.

Urban and community forestry is the care and management of trees in urban settings. Urban forests are dynamic ecosystems that provide environmental services such as energy conservation, better air quality, economic vitality, reduced stormwater runoff, carbon sequestration, and aesthetically enhancing communities.

The Urban & Community Forestry (UCF) Program promotes best management practices in the planting, maintenance, care, and protection of community forests.

MUCFA offers the urban forester the tools to continue a balanced approach to forestry in Montana through training, grant opportunities and open dialogue. Check out the available grants here.

The Montana Urban and Community Forestry Association encourages and promotes management, expansion and improvement of community forestry programs for the benefit of the citizens of Montana.

The association advises the State Forester on the direction of the Montana Urban Forestry Program. Together they work to promote public awareness and education of community forestry and its benefits.

The association is made up of representatives from various agencies, nonprofits, industries, tree board members and volunteers throughout the state.
